Cake Stories No. 3

The one about a tiger who came to tea!

Over the years I have made several cakes for The University of Roehampton for various conferences and events, so I was delighted when asked to make one for the 20th anniversary of IBBY - The International Board on Books for Young People.

But delight turned to excitement when I heard that IBBY would also be celebrating the 45th Anniversary of The Tiger Who Came to Tea and Judith Kerr would be the guest of honour. Sadly I was not able to meet the great lady, but she loved my cake and took a large piece home in her handbag for later - I wonder if she was expecting that tiger for tea again?
